Using photographs of Roman architecture, I explored the deterioration of these structures over time through the spreads. The typography begins dark and tightly set, reflecting the density and preserved condition of many churches and historic buildings. As the booklet progresses, the leading and tracking gradually open and lighten, visually echoing the decay and fragmentation of Roman architecture.
